Built for comfortable camping without giving up adventure.
We are selling our 2023 Forest River No Boundaries 20.3 travel trailer. Why? The wife just retired, and it's time for us to move to a slightly larger trailer (fifth wheel) as we extend our time on the road. Our NoBo has been a GREAT travel companion, and was the right size for us when we jumped into the RV world. We pulled it with our Ford F-150 3.5 Eco-boost with no problems. The NoBo 20.3 combines a very comfortable interior with the rugged, outdoor-oriented design that makes the line so popular.
The trailer offers an open living space, full kitchen, private bathroom, comfortable sleeping accommodations, generous storage, and a layout that works equally well for weekend camping or longer road trips. As you can see from the pictures, the trailer is in fantastic shape with no issues and numerous upgrades and customizations. The bearings were just inspected and repacked in June 2026. The tires are in great shape and the unit only has about 10,000 miles on it. This trailer has been meticulously maintained and is ready to roll out for trips!
Outside, the trailer has the "Beast Mode" suspension that makes it great for off-road. It has a 200W solar panel with an integrated 2000W power inverter that will let you cook food in the microwave or make coffee in your Keurig while you are off grid.
It has been carefully maintained and is ready to camp. We are happy to answer questions or arrange a time for serious buyers to see it in person.
In addition to the great condition, we implemented several upgrades and customizations to facilitate life on the road. These include:
- Office Space - The rear bunkhose was removed and an office was installed to allow us to work from the road. As an IT professional, I was able to write software and run Zoom meetings while off-grid (via cellular and Starlink). This unit would be FANTASTIC for an individual or a couple that wants to work from the road, or maintains a podcast.
- Additional shelf storage next to the office - creating the office allowed us to add additional shelving next to the refrigerator. These shelves have been great for things like kitchen tools and office supplies.
- Conversion of the dinette to a flip up table - As you can see in the pictures, we removed the stanchions supporting the factory tabletop and replaced it with a flip-up butcher block top. This has provided easier access to the dinette area and opened up access to the seats. If the additional sleeping space is needed in the dinette, the original top is included in the sale and that simply rests on top of the dinette seats for additional sleeping space.
- Upgrade of the dinette seats to hinged access to the storage - NoBo kinda missed this in the design. The factory design is very poor for access to storage under the dinette seats. If you use only the door at the end of the seats, you have to pull everything out to get to the back. We removed the wooden seats, and reattached them using piano hinges. Now access is simple and fast!
- Migration of the battery and upgrade to LIFEPO4 - We repositioned the battery cables to terminate under the murphy bed, and just installed a new 100 Amp-Hour LIFEPO4 battery. The trailer is currently wired to support TWO LIFEPO4 batteries. This trailer is wired to run off-grid for days supporting the AC outlets, office, TV, etc. The only appliance that does not run off the battery/inverter system is the Air Conditioner (due to the way Forest River designed it). If that is needed, a generator or DC-based AC unit would work fine.
Included add-ons - The listed price includes several add-ons -
- One 100 Amp-Hour LIFEPO4 battery ($200 value)
- Furrion backup camera with 7-inch touchscreen monitor, and dual side cameras integrated with LED marker lights - all installed ($800 value)
- Curt Weight Distribution Hitch (WDH) ($634 value)
- 30 Amp Power Spike Protector ($248 value)
- 30 Amp Power cable - 25 feet ($60 value)
- Office space wired into main breaker panel and powered while off-grid. Very functional space for work on the road.
- Digital entry lock
- Drinking grade water hose
- Added storage on front tongue
- Complete black tank setup, including 20' sewer hose kit, flush hose, flow meter, sewer hose supports and adapter.
- Many smaller add-ons to numerous to list
NOTE: If the WDH is not needed, it can be removed from sale and the trailer will be discounted for the removal.
ADDITIONAL NOTE: When I made changes to the unit, I kept all the "extra" parts. These parts included the cushions for the bunkhouse, the stools for the countertop, the original table and stanchions, and many other parts. (see pictures below)

A great size for real-world travel.
Comfortable Without Being Huge
Large enough to enjoy extended trips, but still much easier to maneuver, park, and store than many oversized travel trailers.
Adventure-Oriented Design
The No Boundaries line is aimed at owners who want to explore beyond traditional campground camping while still enjoying modern comforts.
Well Cared For
The trailer is only three years old and just had a bearing rebuild/repack by a local dealer. The tires, suspension, and exterior are all in great shape. I just inspected the roof and resealed where needed. No leaks, damage or other issues.
Come see it in person.
The trailer is located in the Williamsburg / Newport News, Virginia area. Serious buyers are welcome to contact us with questions or to arrange a time to see the trailer.
